German musician and frontman of the rock band Rammstein Till Lindemann told RIA Novosti what he thinks about the song "Favorite City", which he recorded in Russian.
The composition of Nikita Bogoslovsky to verses by Yevgeny Dolmatovsky will sound in Timur Bekmambetov's new film "Devyatayev" with Pavel Priluchny as the Soviet pilot Mikhail Devyatayev, who made a heroic escape from German captivity.
Lindemann thanked the creators of the picture for the opportunity to perform "Favorite City".

"I am sure that music creates bridges between nations and I am very grateful for the opportunity to sing this song. I really hope that I could make a small contribution to friendship and understanding between nations," he commented.

Previously, the composition, created in 1939, sounded in the film "Fighters" directed by Eduard Penzlin. Then it was performed by Soviet actor and pop singer Mark Bernes.
