خوبروؤں کو کوئی یہ اطلاع کر دے کہ اب
چشم کی تلوار سے يوں وار کرنا جُرم ہے۔
غیر واجب ہے اداوّں سے یہ سب دلدوزیاں
اِن لبوں سے شربتی گُفتار کرنا جُرم ہے۔
ख़ूबरुओं को कोई ये इत्तेलाह कर दे कि अब
चश्म की तल्वार से यूँ वार करना जुर्म है ।
ग़ैरवाजिब है अदाओं से ये सब
इन लबों से शर्बती गुफ़्तार करना जुर्म है ।

یہ ارادے کون سے ہیں کیسے یہ اخلاف ہیں۔
ستمزدگی کی قطاروں میں کھڑے عشاق ہیں۔
فطرتاً وعدہ فروشی ہی اگر کرنی ہے تو
پختگی سے اس قدر اقرار کرنا جُرم ہے۔
ये इरादे कौनसे हैं कैसे ये इख़्लाक़ हैं ।
सितमज़दगी की क़तारों में खड़े उशशाक़ हैं ।
फ़ित्रतन ही अगर करनी है तो
पुख़्तगी से इस क़दर इकरार करना जुर्म है ।
What these intentions are and how ethical are these,
Lovers are awaiting in queues to endure the atrocity,
If temperamental retraction from the promise is to be done then,
It is an offense to firmly pledge in this way.
احتیاطاً رابطہ کریئے گزارش ہے ذرا۔
اُس خُدا سے کم از کم ڈریئے گزارش ہے ذرا۔
ایک ہو سکتے نہیں گر دِل تو پھر ظاہر ہے کہ
بس شرارت سے نگاہیں چار کرنا جُرم ہے۔
एहतियातन राबता करिए गुज़ारिश है ज़रा ।
उस ख़ुदा से कम-अज़-कम डरिये गुज़ारिश है ज़रा ।
एक हो सकते नहीं गर दिल तो फिर ज़ाहिर है कि
बस शरारत से निग़ाहें चार करना जुर्म है ।

جو مراسم میں محبّت کی مہک برسائیں گے۔
کشمکش ہوگی تو وہ احساس مارے جائیں گے۔
تلخ موسم سرخ جذبے کو موافق ہی نہیں
دیکھئے ایسے گُلوں کو خار کرنا جُرم ہے۔
जो मरासिम में मोहब्बत की महक बरसाएँगे ।
कश्मकश होगी तो वो एहसास मारे जाएँगे ।
तल्ख़ मौसम सुर्ख़ जज़्बे को मुआफ़िक़ ही नहीं
देखिए ऐसे गुलों को ख़ार करना जुर्म है ।

جانتے ہیں پھر کوئی امداد ہو نہ پائےگی۔
ہجر سے ویران روح آباد ہو نہ پائےگی۔
غیر ممکن ہے اگر تیمارداری آپ سے
عشق سے سراج پھر بیمار کرنا جُرم ہے۔
जानते हैं फिर कोई इमदाद हो ना पाएगी ।
हिज्र से वीरान रूह आबाद हो ना पाएगी ।
है अगर तीमारदारी आपसे
इश्क़ से सरताज फिर बीमार करना जुर्म है ।
