Auction house Julien's Auctions said today that it will sell more than 100 lots of costumes owned and used by members of the musical group Destiny's Child, formed by Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Costumes include the golden leather clothes worn by the three "Survivor" singers during a 2000 VH1 tribute to Diana Ross in 2000, and the trio of futuristic silver and metallic red leather jumpsuits that the artists wore in the "Independent Women" video. The auction house reported that the clothes were donated by the families of the Destiny's Child singers, after spending years in storage. A portion of the proceeds will benefit MusiCares, the charity arm of the Recording Academy, which has helped musicians who are struggling due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Destiny's Child, one of the most influential female groups of the early 2000s, went through several formations and officially separated in 2006, when Beyoncé started a hugely successful solo career.
