Elton John started a collaboration with Metallica. This is what we understand from a recent statement.
Elton John revealed that he recently teamed up with Metallica on a new project. The singer revealed this in a new episode of his Apple Music Rocket Hour show : “ I just did something with Metallica. During this block period, I worked with Gorillaz and people like that. I haven't done anything related to Elton, but I've done great things with other people . "
The artist does not clarify which project he is working on and which provides for the collaboration with Metallica, started during the lockdown imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic. It has not yet been revealed whether the artists have teamed up to record a new song, but Elton briefly discussed the project during a recent chat with SG Lewis on Rocket Hour , his Apple Music program.
The collaboration with Miley Cyrus
Though the singer has revealed little else about the collaboration, Miley Cyrus previously announced that her upcoming Metallica cover album will see the artist play the piano in her new version of Nothing Else Matters .
Earlier this year, the pop star revealed that she recorded a cover of Metallica 's Nothing Else Matters with Elton John on piano, Yo-Yo Ma and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith as external collaborators.
“ I am so excited about this collaboration. Andrew Watt produced it and I'm really excited. I mean having Elton John, Metallica… ” . John has also recently collaborated with Ozzy Osbourne, on the song Ordinary Man , which also gives the title to the latest album by Ozzy Osbourne , produced by Andrew Watt who is also the producer of another appreciated artist, Post Malone.
