The singer of "I can't help falling in love" was found unconscious by his girlfriend Ginger Alden on the bathroom floor of his house. He was later pronounced dead in hospital. The cause of his death was an overdose of prescription drugs, including codeine, valium, morphine, and demerol. Other celebrities have also died in almost similar circumstances, such as the American model and singer actress Marilyn Monroe, in August 1962, at her home in Brentwood. Canadian actor Corey Monteith also died at the age of 31 from a deadly cocktail of heroin and alcohol on July 13, 2013. In February 2010, British fashion designer Alexander McQueen committed suicide after ingesting a cocktail of prescription drugs and cocaine and hanging himself.
