Polina Gagarina Admits To Connections Getting Her On "star Factory" Show

Polina Gagarina reveals in an interview that her connections got her on the "Star Factory-2" show in 2003. She also shares about the conflicts between contestants that were intentionally provoked by the show's creators.

Polina Gagarina, a Russian pop singer, recently admitted in an interview with Prozvezd that she got onto the "Star Factory-2" show in 2003 thanks to her connections. Her vocal teacher was acquainted with music producer Maxim Fadeev, who helped her get onto the show. Gagarina was only 16 years old at the time and was studying at a music school. She emphasized that she was able to participate in the show only because of her teacher's help. In the interview, Gagarina also revealed that the show's creators intentionally provoked conflicts between contestants. "Not entirely staged, but they really did pit us against each other, trying to provoke conflict so that it would be interesting for viewers to watch. At the same time, we didn't know what was happening off-camera," she said. However, Gagarina stated that she does not miss the "Star Factory-2" days. In February 2023, pop singer Yulia Savicheva spoke about the strained relationship between her and Gagarina, which worsened after Gagarina's participation in "Star Factory." Savicheva noted that there were several reasons for this animosity.
