Britney Spears turned to her Instagram account and made a series of confessions about the documentary "Framing Britney Spears".
The documentary "Framing Britney Spears", made by The New York Times, debuted on February 5 and impressed the audience with the sad story of the singer. The project presented the toxic relationship between her and her father, who controlled her career, wealth and entourage. The documentary also includes interviews with people in Britney's close circle and with lawyers involved in establishing the form of control under which the artist was.
Many people commented on the details described by the documentary, among them colleagues such as Sam Smith, Hayley Williams, Courtney Love or Justin Timberlake, but also the artist's father, Jamie Spears. Now it's Britney's turn to talk about the dramatic events she's been through. In an Instagram post, the singer revealed that she saw only parts of "Framing Britney Spears" due to the painful nature of its content and the overwhelming feedback from viewers.
Last year, Britney asked the court to take over the role of legal guardian, which her father had had since 2008, from manager Jodi Montgomery. Then, the artist's fans complained and launched the #FreeBritney movement , requesting the artist's release from her father's legal guardianship.
