Davido's second studio album, “A Good Time,” released on November 22, 2019, brings consolation to Nigerian singer-songwriter Afrobeat, amid an infidelity issue with American model Mya Yatai. The album which features guest appearances from Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Gunna, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Dremo, Peruzzi, Popcaan, Zlatan, Yonda, Wurld and Naira Marley, has just surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify. Currently in the midst of a very serious relationship problem with his fiancée Chioma Avril Rowland, after cheating on him with American model Mya Yatai, Nigerian artist Davido can at least hope for a breath of fresh air. Indeed, his new album "A Good Time" has exceeded 200 million streams on Spotify. The album features guest appearances by Chris Brown, Wurld, Naira Marley, Zlatan Ibile and Summer Walker. “A Good Time” becomes his most released album of all time and the second most released album by an African artist on the music streaming platform. Recall that the singer of "Jowo" had also announced in July 2020 that the album had amassed 1 billion streams on all digital streaming platforms. Davido recorded "A Good Time" in Atlanta in 2019. At the time, he told Vibe magazine that he wanted to record in a new environment. He had described the album as a body of work for everyone and said it would be mostly Afrobeats, but incorporate elements from other genres. Davido revealed the album's title at an event in Lagos in September 2019 and said it would be released the following month. He also unveiled clips of four songs from the album during the event. Following his performance at Powerhouse 2019, Davido spoke with DJ Self from Power 105.1 and said the album will feature collaborations with Summer Walker, Gunna, A Boogie and Chris Brown, among others. “ A Good Time ” was produced entirely by Nigerian producers with the exception of one track. The album cover features Davido, his father, and a sculpture of his late mother.
