Britney Spears On Guardianship: “it Feels Like Being Dead”

Finally she breaks her silence and admitted in court that she has been controlled by her father since 2008 and is not even allowed to decide with whom she spends her free time.

Britney Spears was already in front of the camera as a child, eventually made the leap from Mickey Mouse Club star to recognized singer and released her number one debut single "... In short then her life changed completely, she released one album after the other, went on sold-out world tours and was followed at every turn by paparazzi.

One thing led to another, Britney herself lost control, took various substances and suffered a breakdown in front of the cameras in 2007. Her own father, Jamie Spears, then took over the guardianship of his then 26-year-old daughter and has not only controlled her finances since then, but her entire life.

“Just want to be normal”

Spears himself has since spoken more and more frequently on the Internet and declared publicly for the first time in 2021 that she would suffer under the tutelage of her father and just “want to live a completely normal life”.
