Twenty One Pilots Announces Their New Album!

The year 2021 is rich in musical returns! And Twenty One Pilots will be there to ignite the summer. 

The famous American duo, behind the hits "Heathens" and "Stressed Out", have just announced the release of their new album "Scaled and Icy" for May 21st. A long-awaited return, all the more so as the tandem has, for a few days, teased this comeback on social networks. For this sixth studio opus, written remotely during confinement, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun will discuss the themes of boredom, anxiety and loneliness, feelings that each of us may have felt during these last 12 months, as Warner announces. The duo also describes the disc as more color as prcdents.a more imaginative and daring approach to his compositions , which has led to a collection of songs that advance through setbacks .

"Don't you shy away"

A debut single, "Shy Away", was unveiled in the crowd when the album was announced. Far from the rock and dark atmosphere of the titles of "Trench", Twenty One Pilots opts this time for a synthetic and dancing pop, very influenced by the 80s. Don't you shy away / Manifest a ceiling / When you shy away / Searchin 'for that feelin' / Just like an "I love you" / That isn't words / Like a song he wrote, that's never heard / Don't youlaunches the tandem, accompanied by energetic guitar riffs, on its radio melody. With this project, Twenty One Pilots will try to raise the head commercially, after the mixed scores of the album "Trench", released in 2018 and produced more than 1.5 million copies. A tidy score when compared to the 7 million worldwide sales of "Blurryface" and this, despite the pretty success in streaming of the single "Chlorine" (250 million streams) and a successful worldwide tour.
