Ariana Grande, the American singer, took to her social media platforms on Wednesday to announce that she will be releasing her seventh studio album in 2024. The 30-year-old artist shared a series of photos and videos on Instagram, showcasing her emotional journey in the studio while working on the album. In one clip, Grande can be seen in tears alongside producer Ilya Salmanzadeh, while another video captures her laughing and crying as someone questions her about the exhausting process of creating the album.

In addition to the announcement, Grande surprised some of her fans with gifts, including a red lipstick from her cosmetics brand, R.E.M. Beauty, and a blurry photo of her own red-painted lips with a note that reads, 'See you next year.' Although Grande did not reveal a specific release date, this will be her first new album since Positions in 2020. Earlier this year, she released a 10th-anniversary version of her debut album, Yours Truly, and collaborated with The Weeknd on the remix of 'Die For You.'

Known for her role as Cat Valentine in the TV series Victorious (2010-2013), Grande took a break from music to focus on her business ventures as the owner of R.E.M. Beauty and to prepare for her return to acting. She is set to star in the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked, directed by Jon M. Chu, which is scheduled for release in late 2024. However, the production of the movie was affected by the Hollywood actors' strike from July 14th to November 9th.

In the film, which will be divided into two parts, Grande will portray Glinda, the good witch of the Wizard of Oz, while Cynthia Erivo will take on the role of Elphaba, the wicked witch.
